Coach: Kaitlyn Bingham

In high school I played for Oconomowoc High School and got the honor of playing at state three out of my four years. My senior year, I was a team captain and earned MVP for the year. I started my high school club career at Milwaukee Sting and finished at VC United in Illinois. I trained as both an outside hitter and libero during my club career. My freshman year of college I played at Southwest Minnesota State University, where I mainly trained as a libero. I transferred to Grand Valley State University my sophomore year to receive more time in the front row and get better clinical experience for my pre-med track. I finished my career at Grand Valley where I received NCAA Academic Excellence honors and was a scholar athlete of the year nominee.

I first started coaching my freshman year of college. I coached 15's for Southwest Volleyball Club, and we competed across Minnesota. At Grand Valley, I helped run summer camps and coaching clinics where I learned how to create drills to improve specific skills. I also ran private lesson sessions with multiple athletes from different clubs around the area. This past year, I coached Junior Raccoons 5 Gold with Lizzy Danelski. We were undefeated and won the GMPL championship. I love coaching and seeing the love of the game grow in younger athletes, just as it did in me.

With over 10 years of club volleyball experience and a lifelong passion for the game, I bring both high-level playing experience and a player-centered coaching philosophy to the court. I played club volleyball from ages 8–18 and was recruited to compete at the Division I level at Quinnipiac University before continuing my collegiate career at Lander University (DII). I later finished my career at UW–Eau Claire participating in their Club Volleyball program. During high school, I helped Oconomowoc High School earn two state runner-up finishes.

My coaching philosophy centers on empowering athletes through positive reinforcement and creating an environment where players are encouraged to take risks and learn from mistakes. I believe trust and communication are the foundation of successful teams—both among teammates and between athletes and coaches. By fostering strong relationships and emphasizing individual and team goal-setting, I strive to help athletes develop confidence, work ethic, and a love for the game.
